Can The Universe Entrust You With More?

By Douglas R Kruger

SHE was supposed to hand me a single flier. But as I rolled down my window beside the mall's ticket machine, the young promoter - of varsity age, but with lifeless, disinterested eyes - stuffed twenty of them into my hand, along with my parking ticket.
If you 'ask' the Universe, will it continually deliver?

She could not have cared less about what her employer was trying to achieve. Her level of responsibility extended only as far as, 'I've been given a task', and her logic said that once the fliers ran out, she could simply go home. The pay would be the same either way.

But would it really?

Once I'd parked, I encountered the second young lady, doing the same promotions, but with a different approach. She greeted me, handed me a single flier and with an engaging smile told me that it was for a new store in the mall, pointed out which direction I could go to find it, and mentioned one of the offers they had available that day. She wished me an excellent day further.

Now picture the follow-up calls from the employer. In the first instance, it might sound like this:

'How did it go?'

'Fine.'

'Did people take the fliers?'

'Yes.'

'And did they say anything?'

'No.'

'Anything else happen?'

'No.'

The follow-up call to the second young lady will sound very different:

'How did it go?'

'Fine, thanks. At first people were walking around me, but then I realized that if I stood directly in the entrance and smiled when I greeted them, they were more willing to take the fliers.'

'So they took them?'

'Yes. Particularly young families. I noticed that they were more receptive, so I started to focus on them.'

'And did they say anything?'

'Well, a few people asked for more info on the store, like when it had opened and things like that. I didn't know, so I popped down to the store and asked. That way I knew how to answer the next time. I also started including that info in what I was saying to new people, because that was obviously what they wanted to know about.'

One of these young ladies can be entrusted with more work, higher pay and greater responsibility. The other cannot. One is a Joseph, who can rise to the head of the household, and maybe, ultimately, the head of Pharaoh's Court. The other isn't.

At the core of this dynamic - can the universe entrust you with more success? - is this utterly basic principle: Do you care enough? If you do, you can go the next level. If you don't, you can't. It's self-sifting. The principle comes with its own built-in attrition for the disinterested, disqualifying and discarding the unworthy.

Scale it up and the principle continues to work. As a new business owner, if you clearly care about what you provide, and you take the end result seriously, your work will be different. Your quality will be higher, your fundamental attitude will be noticed, and it will generate more business for you.

Contrarily, see your work as a collection of 'tasks,' not as a means to results, and a shift occurs. Your customers will to feel like intrusions and annoyances, and they can tell when you feel that way about them. Projects become works of system and process, rather than works of heart. Process will only take you so far in the universe's success-hierarchy. Graduation to greater levels requires heart. You have to actually care.

This principle also weeds out the industry toe-dippers from the industry greats. With the passage of time, the people who care deeply will always out-perform those who do not.

Why? Because care more, and you will constantly update your own knowledge. Care more, and you will seek out the best tools. Care more, and you will go where the energy is and keep your thinking fresh.

You will also do very practical things, like taking care of the periphery; for instance, you'll build a brilliant car-port for your customer as well as not destroying their lawn at the same time. Why? Because you understand that building a car-port is only the process. Beautifying their home is the goal; and you care about goals.

You use your imagination more. You think more deeply about what you provide.

Perhaps the universe knows what it's doing after all. Perhaps the industry success stories are not there by luck, chance, or the roll of the 'right place, right time' dice. Perhaps they're there because they earned it. Perhaps they are at the pinnacle because the universe dared them to care, and they rose to the challenge, over and over again.

IF there's one quality that encourages you to listen to a speaker on a particular subject, it's enthusiasm.

And one person who has it in abundance is best-selling author, goal-achievement expert and radio show host, Debbi Dachinger.

I have to admit that I hadn't previously come across any of the books penned by Debbi, whose show is entitled, 'Dare To Dream'.

But she has some wonderful insights to share regarding goal-setting and achieving, the Law of Attraction, and so on.

In this very lively video interview with Mind Movies' Natalie Ledwell, she talks with real passion about these and other subjects.

Notably, she gives some invaluable advice on dealing with fear, fear of failure and truly harnessing your own personal power.

The Eagle and The Chicken - A Story of Self-Belief

Courtesy of Paul B. Taubman, II, of All About Gratitude.com

ONCE upon a time, there was a large mountainside, where an eagle’s nest rested. The eagle’s nest contained four large eagle eggs.
Soar like an eagle

One day an earthquake rocked the mountain causing one of the eggs to roll down the mountain, to a chicken farm, located in the valley below.

The chickens knew that they must protect and care for the eagle’s egg, so an old hen volunteered to nurture and raise the large egg.

One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. Sadly, however, the eagle was raised to be a chicken.

Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The eagle loved his home and family, but his spirit cried out for more.

While playing a game on the farm one day, the eagle looked to the skies above and noticed a group of mighty eagles soaring in the skies.

“Oh,” the eagle cried, “I wish I could soar like those birds.”

The chickens roared with laughter, “You cannot soar with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not soar.”

The eagle continued staring, at his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time the eagle would let his dreams be known, he was told it couldn’t be done.

That is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle passed away.

The moral of the story: You become what you believe you are; so if you ever dream to become an eagle follow your dreams, not the words of a chicken.

How To Make Stress Your Friend - with Kelly McGonigal, PhD

Posted by John Lee of YourBestYouEver.net

IT'S arguably one of the most serious emotional and physical conditions affecting the modern world.

And there's no shortage of advice on how to tackle it - written, recorded and available through face-to-face consultation.

Kelly McGonigal explaining how 'stress' can be our 'friend'

In fact, 'Stress' might easily be viewed as a 21st century epidemic and a major threat to our long-term health.

Yet that really doesn't need to be the case, according to health psychologist and Stanford lecturer, Kelly McGonigal.

Kelly has actually changed her view completely, to the point that she believes we can now make stress our friend.

And earlier this year, she explained all with a lively and very entertaining presentation at TED.

During the talk, she told of the startling findings from a survey carried out by Harvard University.

She covered the physical responses to stress - including the role played by the 'cuddle hormone', oxytocin.

And she revealed the incredible results achieved when subjects were trained to simply rethink their view of stress.

It's a fascinating presentation, which you can view now, by clicking on the link below:

Reaching Your Full Potential

By Margo Kirtikar Ph.D.

HOW would you like to reach your full potential? 'Me?' you might think, 'But...' and then you'll begin to list a number of reasons of why it's not possible for you to do that.

Not enough education, bad childhood memories, no support network, you don't think you're smart enough and on and on goes on the list of why it's not possible.

But what if I told you that, 'Yes you can', just like that. All you need to do right away is to change your mindset from the impossible to the possible.

Tell yourself right now that you can, and believe it is possible, against all the odds. Why ever not? It is possible for you to reach your full potential because you just made up your mind that you can do it.

That thought in itself makes it possible. You have already taken the first step on the path towards this goal. All doubts and insecurities have disappeared.

Stand up straight hold your head up high, put a smile on your face and have faith in yourself. Having faith in yourself is the same as having faith in God.

You now expect miracles in your life and you know what, you're going to have them. So be convinced, keep alert and watch out for them.

You are now a full-fledged optimist, you have faith and what's more, you believe in miracles.

Now do you feel energized with that idea? Of course you do. A positive attitude towards life energizes you. It makes you vibrate at a higher level. It's invigorating and exciting.

Doubt, low self esteem, disbelief, despair drain you of your energies and concentration powers. They send your vibration level rocketing downwards leaving you almost paralyzed unable to think, let alone act.

So go back to your positive thoughts, your are now well on the path to reach your full potential, with confidence, commitment and effort.

Good now focus on your goal, as you explore your possibilities. Figure out what your strengths and gifts are. Everyone has some, find out yours and work with that.

Acknowledge your weaknesses and vulnerable points and accept them. It's OK. Don't let this get you down. Everyone has weaknesses.

Successful people use their strong points, to their advantage to get them to their goals and they also reserve some time every day to improve their weaker points.

That is how one gets stronger and better every day, with dedication to a specific goal, unwavering commitment and constant effort. Nothing is achieved without effort.

That's what it takes - focus with self confidence, total commitment, effort and persistence.

Spend a little time every single day on meditation or reflection. Call it quiet time if you prefer; it doesn't matter.

The point is you sit down at a specific time in a specific place every single day to be quiet with yourself, alone with or without your thoughts.

This is called food for your soul. In time you will be in union with your soul. Your soul is the best guide you can have who works with you through your intuition.

You will be astonished at what this little quiet ritual will do for you. In a week's time, you will be calm, centered and balanced.

Your concentration powers will improve, your mind becomes clearer, creative ideas come to you from nowhere, and you will be aware enough to recognize all that and use it all to your advantage.

This is called being Zen. And it's an easy state to achieve - just stick to the ritual and keep at it. After a few months you'll be wondering how you managed to exist without it.

Be Zen. Quiet time is food for your best friend and guide... your soul.

Another thing you will need to do is to allocate a little more time each day to learning. Read, watch videos, visit workshops, whatever is possible and convenient for you to do.

Do whatever it takes to feed your intellect and mental body. Learn about your profession, too, so that you are always well informed. Read news and business magazines relevant to your area of work.

The more you know, the more confidence you will gain and the better you can do your work.

Learning, reading, acquiring knowledge is food for your brain and your intellect. You cannot allow yourself to stagnate. A little every day is better than a lot once in a while.

You will need to take care of your emotional body too.

This you do by giving attention to your private life, your personal relations with all your family members, with your friends and everyone you come in contact with.

This is important for your emotions to keep them balance and alive, so you can practice interacting and communicating with your fellow humans.

It helps you become a sensitive, compassionate, refined character, commanding respect from all around you. Practice kindness, understanding, consideration, compassion and a generosity of heart.

Be happy with yourself who you are and what you are all about. Be authentic and honest always,. You can never go wrong with that and you can sleep like a baby at night.

You are unique - there's no one else out there just like you. Be proud of who you are and do everything in life so you can remain proud of who you are. Be a person of integrity that everyone can trust.

Practice trust, honesty and good humor.

Be grateful and make a point of being grateful every single day for what you have. Don't yearn for what you don't have. Yearning for something far away is a waste of time

Of course you can dream, but don't let the yearning eat you up inside. Instead work on achieving a little more every day of what you aspire for, without losing sight of what is right and wrong.

We build our future brick by brick and we need to make sure that every brick is solid and of good quality before we add the next one on top. Otherwise, whatever we build will topple down like a pack of cards.

We live in a complex world; there's much that no one really understands. But with modern technology we have all the knowledge possible at our fingertips.

We need to be curious and enthusiastic about knowledge and about life in general. Changes are coming fast so we can't afford to be rigid in our viewpoints.

Stay with it and be informed of what goes on at work, at home, and in the world at large.

Have an open mind and be flexible. Keep what makes sense and forget what does not make sense to you.

And don't hesitate to change your mind if you find yourself on the wrong track. On the other hand, do not give up too easily.

Last but not least, don't be too shy or afraid to ask for help from experts. Don't allow yourself to be misguided, bullied or talked into doing anything you don't want to do.

Think for yourself. You make up your own mind. Don't let others make up your mind for you.

You are unfolding like a flower bud, enjoy the process, laugh and have fun.

5 Steps To Align With Your Purpose – with Aline Boundy

Posted by John Lee of YourBestYouEver.net

IT'S a sad fact that many people resign themselves to a life that's less than fulfilling and a job or career that they don't really enjoy.

And given the general consensus of opinion that work is meant to 'be a drudge', you can see why.

Little wonder, then, that the attitude tends to be one of, "I'd love to (fill in the blank), but I'm too old/not clever enough/not rich enough..." and so on.

One woman who did manage to break out of this mindset, however, is UK-based professional trainer and life coach, Aline Boundy.

A school teacher for over 30 years and a very busy parent, well-used to putting others before herself, Aline now heads up a hugely successful Telesummit Series.

This series helps others to do exactly what she did, with the help of some very eminent speakers and specialists within the personal development industry.

One such person is Mind Movies' Natalie Ledwell, who interviews Aline in the video you can access below about her '5 Steps To Align With Your Purpose'.

They're simple, logical and very insightful. Best of all, she leaves nothing out. Take a look by clicking on the link below:

What Is Conscious Creation?

By Patricia A Craig

CONSCIOUS creation – also known as the Law of Attraction – is the belief that each of us creates our own reality.

These two metaphysical terms are defined similarly and are often interchanged with the scientific term, Quantum Physics.

The principles of Conscious Creation/Law of Attraction suggest that what you focus on consistently with great emotion and with the most dominant belief is actually what manifests in your life.

In simple terms, ‘Thoughts become things’.

Quantum physics is the branch of physics which provides us with the description of the dual particle-like and wave-like behavior and interaction of matter and energy.

In simpler terms, in comparison to the definition of Law of Attraction, thoughts are energy. The energy of our thoughts combines with emotion and dominant belief.

This combination affects what is attracted to us and determines what manifests into our lives. Our thoughts do create things. We are the creator of our lives.

What we need to keep in mind here is that everything is energy, including our thoughts. We also need to keep in mind that there is a huge mis-perception that anything with form is a solid mass.

If we were to put any physical item under a high-powered microscope and view it, we would see that, actually, the mass is not a solid at all. Solid form is an optical illusion.

What is really occurring is that atoms are vibrating and slamming into one another, creating the illusion of a solid mass.

To help you to understand the Law of Attraction theory a little better, I would like to use how an echo functions as an example.

We know that an echo imitates a sound or a wave and then returns the sound or wave back to its original source.

Your thoughts are energy. When you consistently focus your thoughts, they travel outward like an echo into the Quantum field of the Universe.

Once the Universe receives the wave of thought signal, it returns the signal back to its original source in the form of a physical manifestation.

If you are confused about what it is exactly I am saying to you, I will try to clear it up with a true story:

I always cut out and/or collect pictures of people, places, things or experiences I desire. I keep the pictures on some sort of vision board, whether it is a physical board or an electronic form of a vision board.

There is one particular person I have on my vision board that I not only wanted to meet but also wanted the opportunity to spend some time with, in a more intimate setting where I would have the freedom to ask him anything.

I also thought how exciting it would be to see his house. The person that I am referring to is Mr. John Assaraf.

John describes himself as an entrepreneur, researcher, and explorer of consciousness and human behavior.

He is also most noted for his appearance in the movie ‘The Secret’, where he talks about how he manifested the house of his dreams and didn’t even realize he was living in it.

This is the exact house I wanted to see for myself. Consistently every day, I would focus on the items on my vision board.

I would imagine myself talking with John and enjoying his company as we sat comfortably in his living room. I felt the enjoyment, the fun, the excitement in my body as I visualized this on a daily basis.

One day, when I was writing on my Facebook wall, I noticed an ad from I-Grasshopper. They were offering a course called Quantum Transformation for a really reasonable price.

I am not one for clicking on ads but I felt really drawn to click on the ad and so I did.

I did not know it at the time but the instructors of the course were actually friends with John Assaraf. I was so excited when I learned John would be a guest on one of the conference calls.

I even got to personally say hello to John on the call and have a brief interaction with him as he asked where I was calling in from. I was so thrilled!

I was even more excited when we were told that a small group of us were going to be given the opportunity to meet John at his house and spend the day with him.

And, you guessed it... What I focused on consistently with great positive emotion and faith was sent out to the Universe as an echo; the Universe returned to me as a physical manifestation of my desire.

I got to not only meet John Assaraf but also spend the day with him in an intimate setting which was located in the very house he spoke of in the movie, ‘The Secret’. Thoughts do create things!

Imagine your thoughts as if they were a person sitting in the driver’s seat of a car. Thoughts are what ‘drive’ you.

The emotions behind a thought represent the gas pedal. In other words, emotions are the accelerator. Consistently thinking about something would be your ‘focus’.

Your focus is your directional navigation. In other words what direction are you steering your thoughts?

Are you focused on what you desire or more so on what you lack? The greater the emotion is behind a thought, the faster the manifestation shows up in your reality.

If you want to know exactly what your emotionally charged consistent focus has been, observe your surroundings.

Notice what is in your reality. What have you observed? Are there things in your life right now that you do not want? Are there things you would like to change?

Are there things you have been struggling with for a very long time?

Please understand as you are noticing the things that you do not want, do not judge them or yourself.

Judging only places more focus on what you do not want and gives more energy flow to the things you do not want.

Take the stance that nothing is good or bad; it is just where you are right now based on a previous thought. The exciting news is a thought can be changed!

We are always in a continuous stream of creation. Everything in your life has been created from a thought from your past – a thought can be changed.

Thus it is possible in theory that you can change your past and create a new reality just by the simple act of ‘changing your mind’.

For more information on conscious creation and learn how to generate infinite possibilities so you can create a new reality, go to http://www.echosofspirit.com/apps/webstore/products/category/1032251?page=1

Living Your Life For You!

By Kerry A Flinders

ARE you stuck living someone else's ideas of what your life should be about?

Are you going to school for something your parents pushed on you?

Are you doing things just because you think your spouse expects you to?

Many times in Life Coaching sessions with my clients, it will be come painfully clear that one of the biggest problems they are having is that they are living a life someone else has designed for them.

Why on earth would someone live a life someone else wants for them?

Usually, the main reason, is their parents. When we're growing up we must do whatever it is that our parents insist we do. We really don't have any choice in that matter.

The problem is that most parents think they know what's best for their child well beyond their childhood.

Many parents expect their children to pursue certain educational goals. I've heard of many parents who will pay for their child's college, but ONLY if they major in exactly what the parent decides they are to major in.

Other parents use disappointment and guilt to persuade their adult child to live a life the parent feels is best.

Parents aren't the only ones inflicting their ideas on my clients, however.

I have some clients who are working jobs they absolutely hate because their spouse would never, ever understand them quitting for a different job they'd like better.

Sometimes my client will be living a life they only "think" other people want them to live.

These other people didn't ever come out and force a path on them, but my client feels as if they have and then walks a path they don't want to... to try to please someone who doesn't even care.

Are you doing this? Are you allowing others to decide what life you are living?

This is a mistake. It's always a mistake.

Even if you are about to head to college, and you find out from your parents that the ONLY way they will pay for your college education is if you major in Business, but you want to major in Art...

I don't recommend caving in and taking the free education in a topic in which you have no interest.

There are many ways to find the money for a higher education... in a topic you actually want to pursue.

Stop selling yourself short. Stop living a life others think is best for you.

Until you decide what you really want from your life and start living accordingly you are going to have a hard time finding peace and happiness.

Take the time to decide what it is that YOU want from your own life. Stop worrying about what others will think of your decisions.

You are not here to please them, you are here to be the best 'You' you can be. You are here to figure out your own happiness, your own paths.

Remember, when you are a happy individual, it will positively effect every relationship you are in. Put your efforts into living the life YOU want for yourself from now on.
