If
you’ve studied personal development for any length of time, you’ll have come
across the concept of ‘giving more to receive more’. All the leading lights
talk about it in their work – Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale, Wayne Dyer, Mike Dooley to
name just a few.
And
there’s undoubtedly a huge merit in acts of kindness and selflessness, not
least in terms of your self-worth, so I certainly wouldn't argue against the
wisdom of behaving in such a way, given the many benefits it offers.
'Magnetic Charisma' - a quality shared by all achievers |
However
if, like me, your experience has been more in the realms of ‘the more I give,
the more people seem to take,’ and there never seems to be anything flowing in
the opposite direction, you might well be a little skeptical.
Yet
I – and maybe you too – have been missing an important point. One which is
underlined by this fascinating video from Mind Movies’ Natalie Ledwell,
featuring an interview with a gentleman called Chris Van Cleemput.
A
Master’s Degree-level engineer, Chris explains his concept of ‘Magnetic
Charisma’ and how it’s a quality demonstrated by the most successful people in
the world, whatever their chosen field.
Having
worked alongside such people as a business coach and having studied their
personalities and behaviour in depth, he identified the need for two ‘magnetic
polarities’ – one a giving, selfless, warm, generous side, the other more
determined, focused and almost even ruthless.
It’s
totally absorbing viewing and certainly opened my eyes as to how I needed to
change and adjust a little. Hopefully, you’ll find it equally useful.
